Every month is poetry month at

Pittsburgh Poetry Exchange

A community resource for Poets in Pittsburgh

  • Pittsburgh Poetry Exchange holds a poetry workshop, open to all, on the first Monday of each month. The workshop meets at Panera Bread, 5430 Centre Avenue, from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. There is no charge for the workshop. See Workshops page for details.

  • On the fourth Wednesday of each month, PPE holds a discussion of a poetry book chosen by a member, at Coffee Tree Roasters on Walnut Street in Pittsburgh's Shadyside. See our Workshops page for details, including a list of the poetry books to be discussed.

  • PPE HOME   Pittsburgh Poetry Exchange was founded in 1974 as a community-based organization of local poets.  We are a service organization and an information exchange, and we promote poets and poetry.

Pittsburgh Poetry Exchange conducts ongoing workshop and discussions.  We have a special interest in supporting all area poetry activities.

Pittsburgh Poetry Exchange is a voluntary, non-profit association and is non-hierarchical.
